The Bouillouses site

Bouillouses Lake and its surroundings have been classed as a natural site since 24 June 1976. This fantastic place is one of the wonders of our département. Around Bouillouses Lake you can explore many paths of all levels of difficulty. You can also enjoy fabulous climbing sites or simply recharge your batteries around the lake.

Since 2000, the Council of the Pyrénées-Orientales Département has made efforts to preserve this exceptionally rich natural heritage with a tourist visit regulation plan.  Traffic on the road is therefore regulated in summer. At those times the site is accessible by shuttle, chairlift and waymarked walking routes.
